While the KNSS Benevolent Fund was created and is being operated to provide assistance to its members in case of exigencies, the Chairman Relief fund was started to provide assistance to those persons who are not part of the KNSS Benevolent Fund. This could be any member of the society, irrespective of caste and creed. CRF started providing a pension of Rs 1000 to Twelve deserving persons. Apart from this, CRF helps needy persons, after considering their application and verifying it based on the recommendation of the Karayogam concerned. The amount sanctioned depends on the availability of funds, as there is no specific source of income for CRF. It is worth mentioning that CRF has contributed handsomely to Kerala Chief Minister Distress Fund, Karnataka Distress Fund and also the members of KNSS for medical, construction of houses etc.
